The breeder Love Genetics created its high-CBD strain The Love by backcrossing Cannatonic AC/DC. The original AC/DC cut used to make The Love tested at 25.09% CBD and 1.38% THC, which the breeder used to create feminized pollen. After pollinating the mother with herself, Love Genetics had three different phenotypes with high CBD-to-THC ratios: 18:1, 19:1, and 22:1.
Effects
Love Genetics has since taken the seeds off the market and donated the plant to a charity in Santa Cruz, California, so there’s not much information available about tastes and effects. Although The Love is no longer available, the breeder has used the genetics to create Sol Love, which is the basis for several current strains, including Burnin’ Love, Forbidden Love, Heavenly Love, and others.
